Connectors

Professional power, audio, video and data connectors for live events, AV installations, touring and cable assembly. Explore industrial mains, XLR, BNC, RJ45, powerCON, speakON, Socapex, Powerlock and related connection formats.

Connectors for professional power, audio and AV systems

This department covers cable and chassis connectors for mains distribution, loudspeakers, audio signals, lighting control, video and networked AV. The range includes products from manufacturers such as Neutrik, Seetronic, PCE, Mennekes and Cembre alongside other specialist connection components.

Select connectors by application, electrical or signal rating, cable type, contact configuration, mounting method and required environmental protection. Similar-looking connectors may serve completely different purposes and should never be assumed to be interchangeable.

Industrial and mains power connectors

Power connection options include 13A plugs and sockets, 15A round-pin connectors, and industrial 16A, 32A, 63A and 125A connectors. Depending on the product, industrial formats include single-phase and three-phase configurations with different pole arrangements, voltage coding and environmental ratings.

The department also includes IEC connectors, Schuko connectors and inline junction boxes for compatible equipment and installation applications.

Locking power connectors for stage and AV equipment

Different locking power connector families are not interchangeable. Check the connector series, current and voltage rating, input or output function, keying, conductor size and mating component before ordering.

Audio and loudspeaker connectors

XLR connectors include cable and chassis formats with different pin counts for professional audio, DMX and other compatible signal applications. Jack connectors cover selected 3.5mm and 6.35mm formats, while phono and RCA connectors support compatible unbalanced audio and AV connections.

For amplifier-to-loudspeaker connections, speakON and locking loudspeaker connectors include cable, chassis and coupler options. Locking loudspeaker and locking mains connectors can appear similar, but they are designed for different systems and must not be confused.

Network, video and digital connectors

  • etherCON and RJ45 connectors include rugged housings, feedthroughs and network termination components for compatible Ethernet and AV data systems.
  • BNC connectors provide cable and chassis options for compatible video and data applications. Match the impedance and cable type required by the system.
  • HDMI connectors include feedthrough solutions for suitable panels and connection plates.
  • USB connectors include selected feedthrough and panel-mount formats for compatible USB types.

Crimp terminals and cable assembly

Copper tube crimp terminals are available for selected conductor sizes and stud diameters. Correct installation requires a terminal matched to the conductor, suitable preparation and the specified professional crimping tool and die.

What should be checked before choosing a connector?

  • Confirm whether a cable connector, chassis connector, plug, socket or feedthrough is required.
  • Match the exact series, mating connector, contact count and male or female configuration.
  • Check voltage, current, conductor size, signal impedance and cable diameter where applicable.
  • Confirm any required IP or environmental rating from the individual product specification.
  • Use the specified assembly method, strain relief, tooling and termination instructions.

Mains and high-current connectors must be selected, assembled and tested by suitably competent people. Never rely on appearance or connector colour alone to determine compatibility or electrical function.
