What should you check before choosing a cable?
Confirm the connector at each end, required length, signal or power type, current or data rating and the environment in which the cable will be used. DMX and microphone leads may use similar XLR connectors but are designed for different purposes. For outdoor or demanding applications, check the individual product specification for its stated construction and environmental rating rather than relying on the connector type alone.
