Clamps and couplers for lighting and truss

This department covers hardware used to attach lighting fixtures and supporting equipment to compatible truss, stands and tubes, or to connect tubes in temporary and installed structures. The correct product depends on the tube diameter, required connection, working load limit, mounting point and intended orientation.

Choosing the right truss clamp

Half couplers wrap around a compatible tube to provide a secure mounting point for fixtures and equipment. Options cover different tube diameters, fixing threads, widths, finishes and working load limits.
Hook clamps and G clamps provide straightforward attachment to suitable bars and tubes, with sizes available for different tube diameters and loads.
Easy clamps use hand-operated closures for convenient fitting to compatible tubes. The range includes different clamp widths, tube capacities and mounting threads.
Omega clamps and brackets use quarter-turn mounting systems found on selected lighting fixtures. Compatibility must be checked against the fixture manufacturer and model.

Connecting tubes and truss structures

Swivel couplers connect compatible tubes where an adjustable or specified connection angle is required. The range also includes fixed 90-degree options. Tube-to-tube couplers create parallel connections at set centre distances, making them useful for positioning additional tubes alongside an existing structure.

Before selecting a coupler, confirm the diameter of both tubes, required angle or centre spacing, orientation and working load limit. A coupler's rating does not automatically establish the capacity of the complete structure.

Boom arms, spigots and mounting extensions

Boom arms extend a mounting position away from a wall, tube or supporting structure. Different arm lengths, braced designs and load ratings are available for different applications. TV spigots and receivers provide compatible 28mm mounting connections for selected stands, fixtures and coupler arrangements.

Replacement clamp hardware

Clamp accessories include replacement roll pins, washers, wing nuts and T-knobs in selected M8, M10 and M12 sizes. Match the replacement component to the exact clamp model, thread size, dimensions, material and manufacturer specification. Substituting an unsuitable bolt, pin, nut or washer can affect how the clamp operates and may invalidate its stated rating.

What should be checked before rigging?

Confirm the tube diameter and permitted mounting orientation.
Check the working load limit of the clamp and every other component in the load path.
Use only the specified fasteners and tighten them according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Inspect clamps, threads, pins and closures for wear, deformation, corrosion or damage before use.
Use an appropriate independent safety attachment where required.
